Whether you have always wanted to know your bible more or have never read it before and want to find out what it's all about , you have come to the right place. Offering different programmes throughout the year, you can join us for some of our seasonal tasters or one of our yearlong programmes that will take you through the New Testament or the Old Testament or the whole Bible in a Year!
God has given me an immense passion for reading the bible and I want to share it with you! To think that we hold in our hands the perfect word of God, all the information we will ever need and not just that, the word of God is alive and he speaks to us through it! What a blessing, what an opportunity to learn and to grow more and more into the likeness of Jesus.
I understand that reading the bible does not come easy for everyone, like me and my friends in our current reading groups you might have dyslexia, autism or mental health problems, you might be confused by all the names and places and the customs of a time long ago. You might not normally read books or you might have tried reading the bible before and felt that you didn't understand. No matter what your situation is, the bible is for you. Reading it together in a group will transform your experience. Everyone can share their understanding, ask questions, support each other and find ways to make it easier for you. And you don't have to worry where to start and what to do, simply follow the plan. You can do it!

We will regularly be offering short reading programmes throughout the year for occasions such as Lent, Advent and others. I will promote new ones at church, in my bible groups and on this website. This year we did 4 Gospels in 40 days for Lent which will be a fixed fixture going forward. A great way to get to know the Gospels and to get to know Jesus.

Every year after Lent I will be leading you through the New Testament, beginning with Acts, to follow on from what happened after Jesus death and resurrection and after Revelation, finishing with the 4 Gospels again for the Christmas season. It's a slow pace plan allowing for plenty of time for reflection and contemplation and is a great way to start your bible journey.

If you want to get to know the Old Testament better then this one is for you. We will be reading the whole of the Old Testament in a year. Explore the story of God and mankind, the history of Israel, learn what the prophets said about Jesus centuries before he came and enjoy the beauty of the Psalms. It will enrich your understanding of the New Testament immensely.

That's the big one, are you ready to read the whole bible in a year? It will help you understand the bigger picture and how the story evolves from creation to the end of this world and beyond. It will require discipline and perseverance and change the way you think about the bible. You can do it, together with a group of disciples, lots of support and prayers!
