They Shall Be My People

by Louise Davies

Start by reading…Ezekiel 10:1 - 11:25Hebrews 6:1-20Psalm 105:16-36Proverbs 27:1-2

Today I would like us to take a look at some of the most significant prophetic verses concerning the people of Israel, the Jews, in our Ezekiel passage.

Ezekiel 11:16 says: “…‘Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’”

In the last three years, many people from the lost tribe of Israel have been discovered in remote places. They have found to be retaining their Jewishness by regularly performing various rites and rituals. Part of the regathering process was prophesied in Ezekiel 11:17: “…‘I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.’”

Many millions of people are returning to Israel. Between 1948 and 2015, 3.2 million Jews came back to their homeland. Israel welcomes them all, providing food and accommodation, and enabling people to prosper there. Ezekiel 11:19 says: “‘Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh.’”

Now in the land of Israel, God is putting a new Spirit within His people to take away their blindness to the truth that Jesus was, and is, their Messiah, Saviour and Lord. We are witnessing Bible prophecy as never before in our days. There are now 120 Messianic congregations of between 10,000 and 15,000 people proclaiming the name of Jesus. How awesome is that?

Pause and reflect: Pray for more and more Jews to receive the knowledge of the truth that Jesus is their Messiah. Pray also for Arab believers in the land, who face great hardship.
